The Shetty, Global Warming and 10 Ka Dum

Shilpa Shetty has always been in the limelight by doing one or the other thing for the welfare of human kind. Be it releasing a Power Yoga Cd in context with fitness or be it making people aware of reasons causing AIDS etc.

This time the news is that she will be joining hands with Freeplay Energy India, a company that produces hand crank lanterns that generate electricity without using fuel. The actress’ foundation will distribute these solar power- generated lamps for free to villages in India.

This is not the first time that a Bollywood celebrity is coming up to make people aware about the global warming. The first major step was taken by the IIFA Foundation to change their Red Carpet into Green Carpet and make the entire Film Fraternity to join hands to fight against Global Warming. During the IIFA Awards last year in Yorkshire, The Bachchan family planted trees and also made a statement “Go Green” and took an oath to plant 6 million trees.

Shilpa believes in conserving energy and also believes that giving in abundance will attract in abundance!!!

Now lets watch how her fight against global warming will attract people to be aware of the issue and work for the betterment of the society.
